Let’s face it: Milan is the winner of all things to copy. Yes, New York is VIP and show business paradise. London has innovation. Paris means business. But the taste, sexiness and budget ideas you see in Milan are nowhere else. I collected the best trends you can get inspired by, or even copy paste – one or two are enough to update your closet.
Puppies
The biggest and sweetest winner of all catwalks seen up to now is Tod’s. Not only the outfits are gorgeous, but models carried a puppy in their hands – everybody melted.
Balaclava
Warm and comfortable, adding mystery to next Winter’s look.
Circus
If in the mood of daring, wait no more: everything is allowed, and your old Carnival outfit might be used for a night out. Wigs, men’s ties, circus-inspired sparkle and exaggerations are in.
Sexy Socks
Turtleneck Monochrome
The high neck jumper was always a winter classic. Today, it’s more of a statement in bright colors from top to toe.
Fendi Logo
The classic Fendi brown and black logo has done a huge comeback on catwalks, but also on the streets and front row celebrity guests. Bold and in your face.
Yellow Shades
Light, colored sunglasses are a recent trend. This year, yellow and orange are a must.
Ruffles
Candy-like, paired with ribbons, in pastel colors or precious fabric, ruffles are another big trend to be inspired by.
Naked
Veils, transparency, see-through glamour, perfectly visible underwear, top without bottom: the body has never been so exposed. If you love the sexy look and feel comfortable, get exposed.
Summer in Winter
This is a zero cost trend – mind you: not for the weak ones. Simply wear Summer clothes in Winter. Add a coat and resist.
The Fur Comeback?
Don’t ask me about this trend, because I don’t understand it. Do designers really have a chance of selling these old school, overpriced, showing off outfits? But furs were very present at the shows, so there must be a market for them.
