My favourite! Milan fashion week is the best – no competition. Of course I am objective (smile). But then again, designers like Prada, Gucci, Armani, Versace, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, Max Mara, Missoni, Cavalli, Ferragamo, Alberta Ferretti, Etro, Tod’s, Ermanno Scervino, Philosophy by Lorenzo Serafini, Agnona, Moschino and many more did deliver splendid – and also wearable – outfits. Here a selection of the best seen last week in Milan.
Most Seen: Beige
If there was a big winner, this was probably beige. The combination of nude colors for the whole outfit, coats or capes included, has been proposed endlessly. Get the dry cleaner ready for this one.
Princess Jasmin
Short top, floating silky bottom, dark hair: the exotic evening look that reminds you of the Disney princess.
Knickerbockers
Military style, rivisited. Comfortable and elegant.
Tulle
Bows, ribbons, frills, baby dolls: a lot of romantic inspiration has been seen in Milan. Tulle was also used in contrast with leather and more everyday clothes.
Violet
Bold and unusual, a strong color for Autumn and Winter.
Large Trousers with Pinces
Comfortable, , androgynous, elegant – wide trousers with soft pinces.
Total White
White is the new black. Also in Winter.
High Neck
Big and wide, perfect for cold weather or just to cozy up.
White Lace Trimmings
For evening of every day, use white lace as a decoration.
Neck Ruffle Collar
Great idea to hide wrinkles on the neck! Unlickely that it’ll sell, but definitely seen a lot in Milan.
Chunky Boots with Elegant Clothes
Flats are proposed with any style and also with evening gowns. Chunky ankle boots or biker boots make a particularly interesting contrast with feminine looks. Beautiful, Italian, and comfortable.
Earth Inspo
Earth shades, natural hair, easy going and yet so intense.
Italian Black
Only the Italians do black that way: simple, classic, and yet incredibly sensual. Dolce & Gabbana and Versace are the masters.
